When it's pointless to clean...

Well, we've had our own place for almost two months now. It's definetly a nice thing to have. I have been doing pretty well keeping it clean for the most part. The kitchen is usually my downfall and the most messy room. It's the room the kiddos usually don't go in, so the floor isn't bad, it's the icky dishes I have a problem with (it'd probably help if I would gt dishwasher soap).
One room that I seem to be constantly cleaning is the boy's room! Because of Wills low weight, one thing I do is during the day I have a bowl of dry (Dora) cereal where he can get to it, so he can have something to munch on at all times. The only downfall is 1/8th of the cereal ends up around the room and in his bed. So about once a week I have to bring the broom and dustpan to their room and sweep. Then I have to put all the toys back in their correct toy bins and try and put clothes in the dresser. Well, I have come to a conclusion- if Will is in the room, there's no point in even trying. Convincing him to help only lasts so long, every toy that you touch he suddenly remembers how great it is and how bad he needs to play with it, and clothes... Well let's just say a 3 yr old thinks he can fold and put each thing where it should be- but that's far from the truth.
Today I did try and clean, despite both boys in the room, I did pretty well if I say so myself, even rearranged nicely, but my sanity... That was the cost.

Boys really do stink- A dirty dark part of kids.

Well this morning Daddy had to work at 10, meaning he left about 9:15.
Fact- both boys were awake.
Fact- it was extremely cold outside and inside.
Fact-no socks on kids equals cold toes/feet.
Fact- everyone in this little family of 4 suffers from allergies.
Fact- we all got in my bed this morning after daddy left.

SnuggleTime!

Well needless to say, I had children boogers on my pillows and also on my blanket and sheets, by the time we left the bed.
And the smell actually took be back, when we used to be close to a family at the church quite a long time ago while I was still in middle school. They had 3 boys, and I remember always thinking how bad their rooms stunk, and sometimes them too. Now I know... Boys really do smell/stink, especially their boogers!  Not very pleasant at all.  But the snuggling and playing in the bed, mighta just been worth it :)  Gotta love mommy love

And today I Learned...

... Apparently the longer a child plays with a "child proof" bottle, the less child proof if it becomes.

Zayden was using a small bottle of allergy pills as a rattle while me & him walked to get the mail. Needless to say, when I got to the door of the house, I had a bunch of little pink pills to pick up. Either I have an extremely smart talented little baby, or childproof isn't too accurate of a term.
So as a word of precaution, lol, don't take childproof too seriously.

Kids say the darndest things

Well, I am the mother of two boys, ages 3 and almost 1. With family and friends being near and far, I decide to take my sister's request and make it happen so that she could be able to know all those funny and weird things her nephews are doing.

Zayden

Will

And to start it off I will put the story that gave her the idea.
This story stars both of the boys and takes place in the driveway right after I open the door to get out of he truck.
Cruz William all of a sudden starts saying "Easy easy easy easy easy easssy". I turn around to try and figure out what he was doing. Zayden was sitting in his car seat holding Cruz Williams brand new Thomas the train trick or treat basket, while Cruz William is lightly pulling on it trying to get it away from Zayden.
I'm not sure if he was telling Zayden to be easy with his basket or if he was saying easy because he hears it so much when we see him "playing" with Zayden. Lol
